Blogs and education

There are many ways that blogs and other social medias can be used in the school environment. A blog for school leaders can be used to inform staff of upcoming district wide events and answering questions from the schools' community to help all stakeholders to be informed about the schools that services them. They can also be used as a way for the school community to let the school know what is happening in the local churches, volunteer programs, and local after school programs. A social media like twitter can be used to let people know about school closings and emergencies that affect the school. Google + is a great way to have parent teacher or Admin Team conferences when people can’t get away from work but have access to a computer for 10-30 minutes. Google Doc can be a helpful tool to collaborate with others when finding time to meet can be difficult. Using Google products can make things easier because it has many features that can be accessed by a single user name and password.  With a Google account you can Skype- Google +, blog- Blogger, make Wikis - Google Docs, Facebook –Google+, Twitter – Google+ , email- Gmail and so much more.
