Self-Assessment Reflection

As I compare my responses from the first class EDLD 5396 and my current answers. I can see where I have grown in my development and understanding of each Competency. In Domain One, Competency 1 there was no changes in the assessment. In Competency 2 there was growth in two areas, facilitating the development, use, and allocation of all available resources, including human resources, to support implementation of the district's vision and goals and maintain awareness of emerging issues and trends affecting public education and communicate their significance to the local educational community. Competency 3 had an area where I did not think I grew which was influencing the media by using proactive communication strategies that serve to enhance and promote the district's vision. In Domain Two, Competency 5 I felt I rated myself as competent the first time around and this time I felt that I was competent. In Competency 6 there was steady growth through all the competencies. Most of competency 7 was rated as strengths for me but there was improvement in the area of facilitating the application of adult learning principles to all professional development activities, including the use of support and follow-up strategies to facilitate implementation and implement strategies to enhance the expertise and skill of staff at the district and campus levels. Domain Three Competency 8 there was nothing but improvement. In competency area 9 I remained competent in this area. In competency 10 I feel that analyzing and use political influences to benefit the educational organization is area that I still need growth.
